Our Vision
Our Vision is to partner with our clients to improve personal engagement in their own healthcare, to improve their health literacy and, to ultimately improve their health outcomes and keep them out of hospital where possible and appropriate. To do this we wish to provide our clients with access to their own personal health record and for those living with a complex condition, to provide hands-on home-based support to help coordinate their care, improve their health literacy, and identify potential risk factors that may lead to an avoidable hospital episode.
Salveo Healthcare is committed to fostering and preserving a culture that values inclusiveness and diversity. We value the cultural backgrounds, age, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation of everyone in our community.
Salveo Healthcare respects the Tasmanian Aboriginal communities, their history, and diversity and we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which our service operates, we pay our respect to Elders past present, and emerging.
Our History
We were born from a need recognised by our founder and ‘parent’, St Lukes. With many of their members experiencing the effects of illness and a struggling health system, they knew they needed to do more than simply pay health insurance claims.
Our Purpose
Salveo Healthcare’s purpose is deceptively simple. We exist to keep Tasmanians out of hospital, enabling them to live a healthy life at home in their community.
