Order of Australia Honours for Salveo Healthcare Director, Lara Giddings

The team at Salveo Healthcare are thrilled with the announcement that our Board Director, Lara Giddings, was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2024 Australia Day Honours list.

Lara joined the Inaugural Salveo Healthcare Board as an Independent Director in October 2020. Since then, Lara has drawn on her extensive experience from both inside government as a former Tasmanian Premier and Health Minister and external to it to help inform the Board, provide different perspectives and assist with the development of our strategic plan.

“I am proud to have been bestowed the highest honour an Australian civilian can be awarded for my parliamentary career, but also for the work I continue to do within the community in arts, culture, and health. For me, being a member of parliament was about helping to make our community a better place for everyone. That philosophy continues in my work both at AMA Tasmania as well as on the Board of Salveo Healthcare,” Lara said when asked about her service to Tasmania.

“I want Tasmanians to be able to access the healthcare they need, when they need it, as close to home as possible, and to be the healthiest version of themselves they can be. Salveo Healthcare enables all of that and it is exciting to be part of a healthcare team who are innovative, caring and solution focussed.”

Lara’s commitment to driving positive and compassionate outcomes for all Tasmanians aligns perfectly with the vision of Salveo Healthcare, to make Tasmania the healthiest island on the planet.

I was absolutely delighted to hear that Lara has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to the health of Tasmanians” said Steve McCullagh, Salveo Healthcare’s CEO. “Lara brings a pragmatic, informed and passionate perspective to our organisation and we are privileged to have her on our Board.

Salveo Healthcare would also like to acknowledge the dedication and achievements of all recipients of Australia Day Honours.
