The Tasmanian Government wants to hear from you on preventative health

At Salveo Healthcare we are committed to preventative health. With our purpose to Keep Tasmanians out of Hospital and our vision of Making Tasmania the Healthiest Island on the Planet, preventing illness is important to us. We’d love to see prevention done well and changing the lives of Tasmanians for the better. For this reason, we’ll be making a submission on the 20-Year Preventative Health Strategy.

What is the 20-Year Preventative Health Strategy?

The Strategy is a framework with four-year action plans to guide Tasmania’s approach to prevention.  While the Strategy is looking at a variety of evidence including data, statistics and reports, community consultation is also essential to its success.

The good news is that chronic conditions can often be prevented, delayed, or improved, by addressing the root causes. That’s where the 20-Year Preventive Health Strategy comes in: it’s our chance to give every Tasmanian the tools and support they need to stay healthy, avoid illness before it starts and live in safe, supportive environments. – Department of Health, Tasmanian Government
