We joined the Workout for Women and this is what we learnt

What is the Workout for Women?

Ovarian Cancer Australia’s Workout for Women occurs in November. This is a fundraising and awareness event for people impacted by ovarian cancer. The event encourages fundraisers to actively move their bodies (e.g. walking, running, cycling or swimming) at least 4km each day in November.

This year Salveo Healthcare, joined forces with Healthy Business, to learn about this poorly understood cancer and fundraise for support services for those impacted. Collectively we raised almost $4000 for the cause. You can visit the Salveo Healthcare fundraising page here.

Why we got involved

Our team joined the Workout for Women as it aligned with our purpose, to Keep Tasmanians out of Hospital. We also have a female dominated workforce and deliver St Lukes Private Postnatal Service which provides support after birth. In short, women’s health is very important to us.
