Meet the Community Falls Prevention panel
The panel unpacks key points from the Falls Guidelines for Community Care and what they look like in day-to-day practice across disciplines.
Hear brief, focused insights from the multidisciplinary panel:
- Tonia Collins is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years’ experience working in remote and rural communities. She has a special interest in wound care, diabetes assessment and chronic disease management. Tonia brings years of skills and experience in applying clinical judgement for falls risk into her clients’ home environments.
- Rosie Beardsley is a Registered Nurse with over 40 years’ experience across the acute, community and aged care sectors. She has worked with physiotherapy and OT to deliver strength-based falls prevention programs, report falls data and impacts to the Aged Care Quality Commission, conduct training in falls guidelines and support resident co-design in consultation with a multidisciplinary team.
- Jason Molann is an Exercise Physiologist with over 15 years’ experience facilitating and managing in community wellbeing programs including the Exercise Treatment Program and Falls Prevention Program. He is highly experienced in assessment and exercise programs empowering older people to live well.
- Damian Lawler is qualified in Sports Science and Human movement with other 30 years’ experience in posture and movement assessment, with 20 of those in rehabilitation and case management for people with acquired brain injury and stroke.
- Amy Nas is Operations Manager at Salveo Healthcare and has a background of over 15 years in exercise physiology, where she has been involved in designing, delivering, and reviewing programs for the community, the majority of which are to empower older Tasmanians to achieve their health goals. This includes our Falls Prevention Program.

The Falls Prevention Program is a free 6-week service to support Tasmanians to reduce their risk of falls. supported by Healthy Tasmania, an initiative of the Tasmanian Government. You can make a referral, or people can self refer, to our classes in:

- Ulverstone
