Honouring friendship, one song at a time

International Day of Friendship is a lovely reminder to pause and celebrate the people who make life brighter including the friends who check in, cheer us on, make us laugh, and help us feel connected.

To mark the day, our team including our wonderful nurses and allied health staff have put together a special Spotify playlist full of warm, fuzzy friendship songs.

It is the perfect soundtrack for a gathering with friends, a walk around the block, a workout at home, time in the garden, or even getting through the housework with a smile on your face.

A playlist made to make you smile

Our International Day of Friendship playlist has been created with connection, kindness and joy in mind. It brings together upbeat, nostalgic and feel-good songs that span the decades and celebrate friendship, support and being there for one another including:

  • You’re my best friend – Queen
  • The best – Tina Turner
  • Glory days – Bruce Springsteen
  • Lean on me – Bill Withers
  • Rome wasn’t built in a day – Morcheeba

Think of songs that make you want to sing along, move your feet, or send a quick message to someone you care about. From classic friendship anthems to easy-listening favourites, it is designed to lift your mood and remind you of the people who matter most.
